Returns, Refunds and Replacement Policy
This returns policy forms part of our standard terms and conditions of use. The Next Chapter Studio operates on a print-on-demand and made-to-order business model and therefore follows a strict return and exchange policy. The Next Chapter Studio reserves the right to decline any return, refund or exchange request. Only stock deemed faulty by The Next Chapter Studio will be approved under this Returns, Refunds and Replacement Policy.
Sales Stock Policy All sales during promotional periods — including Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or any other sale — are final. No returns, refunds or replacements will be accepted on discounted or sale items.
Custom and Personalised Products All custom and personalised products are made to order and are non-refundable. In the event that a submitted image is not suitable for high-quality printing, we reserve the right to print the original image as submitted and dispatch the order. No exchanges, refunds or returns will be granted for inferior print quality resulting from an unsuitable image supplied by the customer.
Digital Downloads All digital downloads are non-refundable once the download link has been accessed. Please ensure you are purchasing the correct product before completing your order.
Replacement and Faulty Stock Policy As The Next Chapter Studio operates on a print-on-demand model, only items that are genuinely faulty or defective are eligible for returns and replacements. The original item must be returned to us within 7 business days of dispatch, and the replacement order will be shipped within 7 business days after the returned item has been received and approved.
All returned items must:
- Be in original, unused, and unaltered condition
- Include all original packaging
- Have the order number clearly marked on the outside of the package
Returned items will be assessed to confirm they are faulty or defective. If confirmed, a replacement will be sent within 7 business days, free of charge, subject to availability. If the item cannot be replaced, a store credit will be issued. If the item is found not to be faulty, it will be held for 30 days for the customer to claim by covering return shipping costs. After 30 days, items will be disposed of at our discretion.
Non-Returnable Items The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:
- Tile decals, stickers, laptop skins, or any product with adhesive backing that has been removed, altered, or used
- Phone cases or accessories that have been used or show signs of wear
- Custom or personalised products of any kind
- Digital downloads once accessed
Colour Disclaimer Due to variations in computer monitors and screen calibrations, product colours may differ slightly from images displayed on the website. No refunds, exchanges or returns will be granted on the basis of colour differences.
Reporting Damages or Shortages Any shortages, errors or damages must be reported to The Next Chapter Studio within 24 hours of receiving your order by contacting tncops@thenextchapter.co.za or WhatsApp +27 81 245 9336. Damages or shortages not reported within this timeframe will be the purchaser's responsibility.
Delivery Liability The Next Chapter Studio is not liable for any damages or losses in transit. Parcels dispatched via Pudo are uninsured — risk transfers to the customer once the parcel has been dispatched. Incorrect delivery addresses may result in redelivery charges which will be for the customer's account.
Refund Policy Refunds are only granted for genuinely faulty items that have been returned and assessed. Returns must be received within 7 business days of dispatch. The original delivery charge is non-refundable and the cost of returning the item is at the customer's expense.
Refunds, store credits and exchanges are subject to a 15% handling fee.
We will not be able to accept a return in the following circumstances:
- The item is received later than 7 business days after dispatch
- The item or packaging is not in original condition
- The item is a custom or personalised product
- No valid reason for the return has been provided
- No valid order number has been provided
Cancellations Orders may be cancelled before payment is received. Once payment has been received, The Next Chapter Studio will not accept cancellations as production begins immediately.
Arranging a Return To arrange a return, contact us first at tncops@thenextchapter.co.za with your order number and reason for return. Do not return any item without prior authorisation. All returns must be sent to our physical address — not a PostNet or postal address. We will provide return address details upon approval of the return request. It is the customer's responsibility to package items securely to prevent damage in transit.
The Next Chapter Studio reserves the right to approve or decline any return, credit or exchange request at its sole discretion.
